Soap and Shampoo

Bath time can mean a lot of plastic bottles if you’re not careful.

Most soaps and shampoos are unnecessarily mixed into liquid form with lots of water to make it more convenient for the average person to use. By doing this, plastic containers are forced on consumers when the solid form of these products would have been far more effective and less waste would be created.

Keep it simple with solid alternatives.

Bars of soap can be purchased locally, without packaging at Pop-up markets, Farmer's markets or Online.

Bar soap is an easy alternative, but did you know that shampoo and conditioner come in bar form too?

Check out Lush for a wide variety of solid, package-free alternatives.

Not into solid options? Check out Generation Green at the Forks for soap, shampoo and conditioner in bulk. Don’t forget your mason jar!
